I have that pattern and love seeing it made -- there are so many variations in colors on the web. One of these days I'll need to get making one for myself!
I love how you did this with the bright colors and the border as you go. Or so it seems to me. I may have to try this one again done with bright, fun colors.
As I settle into retirement I am learning how to enjoy unstructured days. It is nice to have time to volunteer at church, spend an afternoon reading, have a leisurely lunch with friends, or work all day on my crafts.
