My fabric stash report remains the same as last week even though I "used" a lot of stash this week. I cut fabric for a Halloween quilt, I cut fabric for Judy's Quilting Along, I cut fabric for Judy's scrap (don't know what it is yet) quilt and I cut scrap fabric into useable squares and strips. However, nothing is completed so I don't feel like I can count it yet. Therefore my report is: Fabric purchased - 0 Fabric used - 0 Fabric used year to date - 9.75 Fabric purchased year to date - 0 Fabric crumbs in the waste basket - ? ? ? ?
The quilt I finished yesterday does not count in my stash report because it was a kit given to me at the quilt guild. Other than that, I have picked out fabric and started in on the half-square triangles for the Quilt-Along and cut-up fabric for a more organized stash.
Therefore, my stash report for the week is BORING. Fabrics added - O Fabrics used - O Fabrics used to date - 9.75
I'm an old lady...........things go slowly around here! ! ! ! !This is some red fabric I refolded. Looks pretty!
Fabric used this week............9.75 Fabric used this year............17.75 Fabric purchased this year.............Zero, none, nada. I'm truly using up my stash. Confession............I would LOVE to go shopping. I am getting low on some colors......
I'm hanging my head in shame as I confess my lack of progress. I did work on some projects, but they are not done and I don't feel like I can count them yet. Sigh.
Total for the year so far - used 1/2 yard, purchased zero.
Yes, I am off to a marvelous start for 2009 in the stashbusting department. I worked on two small projects that probably took a total of 1/2 yard of fabric - all from my huge stash.Week #1 - used 1/2 yard - purchased -0- yards.
As I settle into retirement I am learning how to enjoy unstructured days. It is nice to have time to volunteer at church, spend an afternoon reading, have a leisurely lunch with friends, or work all day on my crafts.
